MSU Pre Season


This past weekend we traveled to Mankato, MN for the first meet of the year. We had some great performances from a group of athletes that have worked very hard all fall. Jacob Pohlmann ran the first 400m race of his life and survived. Jacob ran a leg of the 4x400 because of some illness on the team. Adam Sturm looked pretty good in his first 400m as well. Neither Pohlmann or Sturm have been working out with the 400m group. With a little work I think both young men can contribute at that distance.

I'm posting some video of a few of the races this weekend. Zak Morris ran a great time all by himself in the 600m. You can see the race below. I truly believe he would have been able to run around 1:24 low if he had been in the heet with the rest of the competitors.

Alumni Photo's


To be honest most of the pictures I'm posting are a mystery to me. I have a pretty good idea of what I've got but not necessarily who. Feel free to shoot me an email and let me know what exactly I'm posting pictures of. I just took a quick sampling from my box of photo's so it's not represenative of everything that I have. MSU Pre Season


Yes, we do have a meet this weekend! We are headed to Mankato for the meet this weekend and we'd like to invite you to come along. Below is the information that I have about the meet. As soon as I have entry lists I'll put those up as well. Right now I've only got our personal list. Should be a great meet. Email if you have any questions I can answer. Below that I'm including our tentative schedule for this year. Be aware that there may be changes to that later on.


MSU Preseason Open
December 5, 2009

Entries: Enter athletes through www.pttiming.com; entries are due by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3rd. Entries for this meet are unlimited.

**Long Jump/Triple Jump/ Throwing Events: Each participant will be awarded four attempts and there will be NO finals.**

Fee: $100 for men’s team and $100 for women’s team; $5 for unattached/individual competitors

11:00 a.m.            Weight Throw (women followed by the men)
                        Long Jump (men followed by the women)

11:30 a.m.             High Jump (women followed by the men)
                        Pole Vault (women followed by the men)
