This past weekend we traveled to Mankato, MN for the first meet of the year. We had some great performances from a group of athletes that have worked very hard all fall. Jacob Pohlmann ran the first 400m race of his life and survived. Jacob ran a leg of the 4x400 because of some illness on the team. Adam Sturm looked pretty good in his first 400m as well. Neither Pohlmann or Sturm have been working out with the 400m group. With a little work I think both young men can contribute at that distance.
I'm posting some video of a few of the races this weekend. Zak Morris ran a great time all by himself in the 600m. You can see the race below. I truly believe he would have been able to run around 1:24 low if he had been in the heet with the rest of the competitors.
