The weather turned out to be almost perfect on Friday afternoon. The temperature was in the high forties and the limited wind remained relatively calm. Both the men and women had good races and placed 2nd. Tom Karbo won the men's race. It was the first time that Tom has crossed the line first this season. He looked relaxed during the entire race and powered down the home stretch to the line to take the win. On the women's side freshman Annie Pfeifle of Rapid City finished first placing third in a time of 22:48 over the 6k course.
Next up for the men and women will be the NSIC championships in Bemidji, MN in two weeks.
