Last night marked the third year that Augustana and the University of Sioux Falls have met on the basketball floor to determine just who really is king of 26th street, the dividing line between the schools that are just two blocks apart. In the end both the men and the women of Augustana came through with convincing wins and once again the Augieholics had something to cheer about.

Approximately 3,500 fans made their way to the arena to watch the basketball game. I'm sure the fact that USF is moving to division II and has applied for membership in the NSIC made this game even more interesting. Don't expect the Cougars to face the Vikings on the football field any time soon. I can't see that happening unless both schools are in the same conference.
